Caitlin Clark is first basketball player since Michael Jordan to land this deal

Caitlin Clark's storied career added another chapter on Tuesday. Early in the day, Wilson Basketball announced that Clark is set to have her own signature basketball collection.

It marks the first time the storied brand has partnered with a basketball star for a signature collection since Michael Jordan in the 1980s.

Clark expressed her excitement about the prestigious honor with Boardroom TV, saying, "I think it's super special, and it's been fun for me."

"I'm just very lucky and fortunate to partner with Wilson to create something that everyone can enjoy. It connects with a lot of generations, and it'll be fun to see kids walking around holding them," continued Clark.

Her first three personalized gold-and-white basketballs are already available for sale and feature engravings of Clark "including the logo triple that helped her break the all-time NCAA scoring record." The others feature Clark with her arms stretched wide, including one with her signature.

The No. 1 overall pick of last month's WNBA Draft made her league debut last Tuesday and has continued to draw an audience just as she did in college. Her first three games as a pro have been the most-watched WNBA games since 2002, per Sports Media Watch.

She's averaging 17 points per game. Per Across The Timeline, her 12 made threes are tied for the fourth-most for a player in her first four games in WNBA history.
