Inter are ready to welcome Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski on free transfers, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri will target a new striker and a central defender over the summer.

Taremi and Zielienski have already reached an agreement with Inter and are set to move to the Stadio Meazza for free in the summer, after their contracts with Porto and Napoli end.

However, Friday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page seven, reports that the Nerazzurri will try to sign two more reinforcements to cope with a packed fixture list in 2024-25, which will see the Serie A giants involved in the Club World Cup.

Albert Gudmundsson is their primary target in attack. The Genoa striker could replace Alexis Sanchez or Marko Arnautovic. The contract of the Chile international expires in the summer, while the Nerazzurri will be open to listening to offers for Arnautovic who has failed to impress this season.

Simone Inzaghi will likely also need a new centre-back, given that Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij aren’t getting any younger and that one of them could leave.

The Nerazzurri have set their sights on Atletico Madrid’s Mario Hermoso and are preparing for a meeting with the defender’s entourage over the next few weeks.
